Ant Colony
An underground tunnel network with chambers, and ants walking pheromone paths between the surface and the nest. Real ant colonies excavate branching tunnels using chemical pheromone trails to guide foragers; here each ant follows a fixed spline curve at its own pace, looping endlessly between nest and surface.
- 5 tunnels built from Catmull-Rom spline tubes
- 3 underground chambers as inverted spheres
- 26 procedurally built ants (abdomen, thorax, head, 6 legs)
- 200 drifting dust/pheromone particles
