Trend is computed with a centered 24-sample moving average, seasonal is the running average of detrended values per hour-of-day, and residual = observed − trend − seasonal. A rolling window z-score on the residual flags anomalies once |z| exceeds the threshold. Because the moving average needs future samples, decomposition trails live ingestion by ~12 hours.
