Bookings arrive lowest fare first (Basic → Standard → Flex → Premium), mimicking leisure travellers booking early and business travellers booking near arrival. EMSR-b protects rooms for the fare classes that haven't opened yet by computing a critical-fractile protection level from each class's demand distribution, then re-optimizes the remaining booking limits every time a fare class closes and the next one opens.
