This simulator models a single field's soil organic carbon (SOC) as a mass balance between cover-crop carbon input, tillage-driven mineralization, and erosion loss — the same one-pool structure behind soil-carbon models like RothC. Dial tillage intensity from no-till to conventional plowing and cover-crop input from bare fallow to a dense cash cover crop, watch years accumulate in accelerated time, and see the field itself respond: a thickening or thinning canopy of cover-crop blades, darker or paler soil as SOC builds or depletes, and dust lifting off the field when erosion is severe. Live readouts track SOC in tonnes of carbon per hectare, the current erosion rate, the net annual carbon balance, and the equilibrium SOC the current practices are converging toward — making the long-run payoff of reduced tillage and cover cropping visible in minutes instead of decades.
