A field-scale growing-degree-day model: every day adds GDD = max(0, (Tmax+Tmin)/2 − Tbase). Accumulated GDD drives the whole field through emergence → vegetative → flowering → grain-fill → maturity, while a soil water bucket sets yield-limiting stress.
