VTOL Hover Balance: Thrust Vectoring

A jump-jet VTOL aircraft hovering on vectored thrust has no wings and no rudder doing useful work — every newton of lift and every stabilizing moment must come from the engine itself. This simulator models a Harrier/F-35B-style hover: a single vectorable main nozzle whose deflection angle trades vertical thrust for pitch control, plus wingtip reaction-control "puffer" jets that trim roll independently, exactly mirroring the real bleed-air attitude system these aircraft use at zero airspeed. Throttle, nozzle angle, and roll trim are full rigid-body controls — get the throttle wrong and you climb or sink, get the nozzle angle wrong and you drift and pitch, and switching on gusts forces you to actively counter random disturbance torques the way a real flight-control computer does dozens of times a second.
