Winged spaceplanes like the Space Shuttle Orbiter, X-37B and Dream Chaser don't fall through the atmosphere ballistically — they fly it, generating real lift and drag the whole way down from orbital velocity. This simulator integrates the equations of motion for a lifting-body entry: bank the vehicle to redirect part of its lift sideways for cross-range steering, tune its lift-to-drag ratio and entry speed, and watch a physically grounded exponential-atmosphere model drive altitude, deceleration g-load and Sutton–Graves stagnation-point heating in real time, rendered as a glowing plasma sheath trailing the vehicle through its glide.
