Satellite Constellation — Multi-Inclination Orbits
Multiple orbital planes of satellites circle a rotating Earth, each plane tilted at a different inclination and rotated by a golden-angle right-ascension offset (RAAN) to spread coverage evenly, similar to real mega-constellations like Starlink.
- 8 orbital planes x 5 satellites = 40 satellites total
- Each satellite has body + solar panels, oriented to face Earth
- Fading ring-buffer trails trace recent orbital paths
- Procedural land/ocean shading via vertex colors on the Earth mesh
