Compressor Surge & Stall Cycle

An axial jet-engine compressor only pumps stably on the rising part of its pressure-flow characteristic — push it too far toward the stall line and the coupled dynamics between the rotor and the downstream plenum volume take over. This simulator solves the Moore–Greitzer lumped model in real time: adjust the Greitzer B parameter (plenum inertia vs. duct inertia) and the throttle opening to move the operating point, then fire an inlet distortion pulse to see whether the system settles back to a stable point, dips into a mild rotating-stall oscillation, or collapses into a full deep-surge limit cycle with periodic flow reversal — rendered as a spinning 3D rotor/stator stage, a pulsing plenum, and a live compressor map trace.
