Every aircraft wing is a trade-off between span, chord, taper and sweep, and the physics that governs that trade-off is Prandtl's lifting-line theory. This simulator lets you build a wing planform from scratch — set the wingspan, root chord, taper ratio and sweep angle — and see the consequences immediately in 3D: the spanwise lift distribution rendered as a row of lift vectors, the trailing wingtip vortices that carry away induced drag, and live readouts of aspect ratio, Oswald efficiency, lift and induced-drag coefficients and the resulting lift-to-drag ratio. Four presets (glider, airliner, fighter, near-elliptical) show how radically different real aircraft solve the same equations.
